TRUE RICHES
True riches cannot be measured by gold, silver, or any earthly possessions. While the world teaches us to chase after wealth, power, and material success, the Bible reminds us that these things are temporary and will one day pass away. No matter how much someone owns, death will strip it all away, leaving behind nothing that can be carried into eternity. Scripture warns us not to set our hearts on riches that fade but on eternal treasures that never perish.
Jesus asked a sobering question: “What does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul?” (Mark 8:36). A person may gain everything this world has to offer—mansions, fame, influence, and comfort—but if their sins remain unforgiven, their soul is still in danger. All earthly success is worthless if it costs a man his eternal soul. The greatest tragedy is to live in abundance on earth, yet face God’s judgment unprepared.
True wealth is found only in Christ.
